What you will learn

Personal Responsibility

Healthy relationships are built on a foundation of freedom and choice. When you choose to take responsibility for your half of the connection, and give room for the other person to take full responsibility for their half, respect is cultivated and trust can grow.

Healthy Boundaries

Being an imperfect person while loving an imperfect person is sure to be challenging and painful at times. Healthy boundaries create the necessary resilience for relationships to be sustained through the storms of life as fragile people in an imperfect world.

Powerful Communication

Deep connections are formed between people who have the courage to speak the truth and the character to do so with kindness and respect. For connections to grow, communication must be used to move the relationship forward.

Proactive Care

Pro-active care is the fuel that feeds connection. Without this, relationships starve, and ultimately die. The freedom and ability to express love in action even in the midst of pain and disappointment is a key ingredient to developing resilient connections.

How to enrol

Restoring Connections Personal Mentoring is an 8-month programme that runs from April to November each year. We carefully choose who we accept into the programme as there are a limited number of available spaces.

Your Contribution

  • All Restoring Connections mentors and mentors in training are volunteers. They offer their time in the mentoring relationship out of a spirit of generosity.

  • It cost Restoring Connections approx. $200NZD per person, per month to deliver the 8-month Personal Mentoring programme. We do ask participants to consider making a contribution to cover these costs, however, we do not want finances to ever be a barrier for people participating in the programme, therefore we simply ask participating mentees to let us know what is comfortable for them to contribute.
